The MoU is for a period of 5 years.

The following FOUR HUNDRED AND FORTY ONE (441) candidates SATISFIED the Board of Examiners of the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences in the Final Year University Examinations of the 2016/2017 Academic Year. They are therefore RECOMMENDED to GRADUATE.

Millicons Limited officially hands over the newly constructed Phase II Education Block to Kibabii University Management. The project Manager walked them through different sections in the facility including offices, laboratories and demonstrating how some equipments in the facility are used.
Millicons Limited also handed over a 14 seater Van to Kibabii University as a token of appreciation. The event was crowned by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Ipara planting a tree in front of the newly constructed block.
School practice seminar held at Auditorium B for 4th year students in Faculty of Education and Social Sciences in preparation of school practice scheduled in January 2018. Vice Chancellor Prof. Ipara, Dean of Faculty Dr. Wepukhulu, Faculty members and an official from TSC Bungoma Branch were in attendance.
The Presentation of 91st Kenya Music Festival Award Winning Trophies and Certificate by Kibabii University Choir to the University Senate
Kibabii University choir team presenting trophies to the University senate. The team scoped four trophies during the 91st Kenya Music Festival held at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) on 10th – 22nd July 2017 whose theme was “Enhancing National Unity, Cohesion and Integration through Kenya Music Festival”. The best winning items that also scored highest marks during the festival were: Folksong from Rest of Africa, Kenyan folk dance, Kenyan folk song and Taarabu song. Moreover the team also received certificate awards for position 1,2 and 3 which included: Position1: Folksong from Rest of Africa, Kenyan folk dance, Kenyan folk song and Taarabu song, Position 2: Terrorism Choral verse and Turkana folk song, Position3: Giriama dance. Congratulations for sterling performance.
DVC (Planning, Partnerships, Research and Innovation) Prof. Dr.-Ing. Benedict M. Mutua, PhD, Rer. Nat. lead the inspection team for constructed Phase II of Educational Block together with the Technical Project Management Team.The Technical Project Team Manager briefed the Inspection Committee on various sections allocated to different Departments and Schools/Faculties. This meeting comes just before official handing over of the facility to the University.

The 4th Edition of the Kibabii University Career and Cultural week, saw the invitation of Guest speakers by the Department of Academic advisory and Career. One of the high profile speaker’s to be invited was the Nation Media Group (NMG), General Manager Broadcast, Mr. Linus KaiKai.
Mr KaiKai, who was invited on the second day of the event, gave a powerful speech based on career choice, hard work and sacrifice as the fundamental pillars behind any successful career. He also cited the importance of passion, creativity and determination as essential tools for any job seeker in Kenya.
The managing director also agreed to be the mentor of the Kibabii University Journalism Club, as per earlier requested by the Club’s chairperson. He also promised to work with the University administration and the Journalism department to ensure that journalism students are well trained and prepared for the competitive career ahead of them.
In the honour of African Culture, that a visitor should not leave empty handed, the journalism club members who were highly elated on the unique exposure presented a gift in form a Club T-shirt to the GM.
The event was also coloured by entertainment from the University choir, poems and spoken word from students of the invited High schools and a news presentation from the Kibabii University (KIBU) Journalism Club.
The GM was invited to shed light on the need for students to embrace the book reading culture over social media. The Nation Media group was expected to mentor department of Journalism and Mass Communication to enable the University develop requisite competencies in the media industry. Appreciation of diversity in culture was also emphasized. There’s hope to see greater partnership between KIBU and NMG.
